Art is present in various forms, from cave paintings to digital design, and is used to express thoughts, emotions, culture, and history. Art is a fundamental aspect of human existence, encompassing cave drawings and digital designs, enabling us to express, heal, learn, and connect.

But the most demanding question for us for society that why we need art. Sometimes it’s hard to answer for any artist because from another side they don’t wanna believe in the importance of ar*t. Here we will know why art is important-

  • Art is a powerful tool that can express emotions, connect people without words, improve learning and thinking, keep culture alive, heal and help, and drive the economy. Van Gogh’s painting “The Starry Night” reflects his emotional pain, while Banksy’s street art shares strong messages about politics and society without captions. Ar*t-making can reduce stress improve emotional health and also help people connect across cultures.
  • Art also improves learning and thinking by building creativity, focus, and imagination, and supporting better learning in schools. S
  • schools that include drawing, music, or drama often perform better in math and reading, and students involved in the arts are more likely to win awards, volunteer, and attend college.
  • Ar*t also keeps culture alive by protecting and sharing the identity of a place or people. In Bangladesh, Nakshi Kantha (embroidered quilts) tells personal and village stories through thread and fabric, and UNESCO calls ar*t a key part of cultural heritage and national identity.
  • Ar*t is also used in hospitals and therapy to support healing, as children in cancer wards often paint or draw to express feelings and reduce fear. Research shows that art therapy helps improve mood and reduce anxiety in patients.
